Needs Assessment

Whether you are an individual or an organization, if you are interested in continual improvement for supporting the success of players off the field, a critical step is a thorough and objective assessment of what will be needed to achieve your goals.

An external assessor can ask questions and make statements that might not be as safe or readily accepted from someone within the organization. ARD has tools and proven methods to help you assess:of how they do or don’t perform in the game, most athletes don’t get into any real trouble for that performance. If they don’t do well, they get help from their coaches and move on. They usually get into trouble only for how they manage or fail to manage their performance in their personal lives. ARD helps athletes to be ok and move on in their personal lives by coaching them in the following:

  • Who is, should be, or should not be involved for best results?
  • What is going on now? What should stop? What should start?
  • When does your current window of opportunity close, and when must you complete each critical objective?
  • Where should various functions, people, and resources be placed or conducted?
  • How can you best implement the things you need to do to get where you want to be, in light of your current situation, resources, and challenges?
  • Why each conclusion and recommendation is appropriate for your current circumstances and future goals will be supported with sound, research-based, and outcomes-driven rationale.
